Pastor/Founder/CEO of The Foundation Christian Center and The After Market (A Hybrid Grocery Store)
DeWayne McCoy founded The Foundation Christian Center in February of 2015 with the goal of making a difference in his community. After seven years of successful ministry, he established The After Market. An oasis of opportunity for healthy eating in a community where the nearest grocery store is more than 5.6 miles away. DeWayne McCoy has over 12 years of community leadership experience and over 23 years of grocery, food storages, warehousing and logistic experience in corporate, and nonprofit organizations. Pastor DeWayne is a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from International Academy of Design and Technology (IADT) in Henderson, NV and a Master’s in Human Service Marriage and Family Counseling from Liberty University, Lynchburg VA. DeWayne serves as a vital member of the Pathway from Poverty coalition of community partners headed by Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick. He has also served for over seven years as a vital member of the management team at Three-square Food Bank, Southern Nevada’s only food bank and the largest hunger relief organization serving Clark, Nye, Lincoln and Esmeralda counties. During his tenure at Three Square, he helped write, initiate, and manage their emergency response to the COVID-
19 Pandemic.
Pastor Dewayne desires to feed his community both spiritually and naturally thereby nourishing the whole man. His desire to do more lead him to leave Three Square and start The After Market. It is a hybrid grocery store that serves as a traditional market combined with a community food pantry. This project garnered the support of The Clark County Board of Commissioners who on December 21, 2021, voted to approve the funding for The After Market. On June 13, 2023 The After Market opened to the public becoming an oasis of opportunity for healthy food in a community where the nearest grocery store is more the 5.6 miles away.
